Three students of Bayero University in Kano, Nigeria, have developed a smoke-free technology.
They combine the dead with the use of agricultural waste which, after harvest, is left in the field such as straw and rice which are not very useful to farmers.
They buy the trash per kilo and they pick it up and run it to their factory.
The youth met at a forum where they discussed how to create this technology.
Opening an English competition at the University of Bayero, they invented the technology and included it at the Technology Incubation Center in Kano.
After the art, they took part in the competition, which allowed them to travel to the federal capital of Abuja, where African regional contests were held, and then to a second one.
So they came to England where they attended a program for developing and training talented people.
One of them has now returned to England where they will be able to join a six-man delegation to the United Nations in New York to present their skills.
If they do, they can get the support that will give them 10,000 jobs in 10 years.
Many women in Africa get sick or die because of the smoke they use in their recipes.
At the same time, cutting down trees is one of the main causes of desertification and climate change.
With this idea in mind, Brycoal's student body saw this technology as a means of contributing to Nigeria.
