Bayern Munich have signed Philippe Coutinho from Barcelona on a one-year loan deal with an option to buy him in the future.
Barcelona say the German champions will pay 7.78 million pounds for the 27-year-old Brazilian, who can buy him for 109.84 million pounds.
Bayern will pay Coutinho his long-term contract in Germany.
"This change is an opportunity for a new challenge in a different country and one of the biggest European clubs," he said.
"I'm very happy with that. I have goals that I would like to achieve as Bayern have."
Coutinho joined Barcelona from Liverpool for £ 142m in January 2018.
Although he has scored 21 goals in 76 games for Spain, he has failed to reach his original target, and has been linked with a switch to Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham.
