China and India are threatening each other

China has demanded that India immediately withdraw its troops from a region it claims is in the Himalayan province bordering the two countries.

Chinese Defense Minister Wei Fenghe told his Indian counterpart Rajnath Singh in Moscow that the Delhi government was seeking to cause a border crisis.

Reports now say the two sides have withdrawn from their base in Ladakh province, following a clash in June in which 20 Indian and Chinese troops were killed.

US President Donald Trump has described the China-India crisis as "unpleasant", saying Washington has intervened in resolving the dispute between the two countries.

China's defense minister has said he will not tolerate the disputed territory as he told his Indian counterpart.

The crisis between China and India has further strained relations between the two countries.

China's official Xinhua news agency quoted General Wei, China's defense minister, as saying that there was a need to discuss the issue with India's defense minister if there was to be mutual understanding.

There has been no immediate response from India to China's offer of talks and Beijing's accusations against Delhi over the crisis.

China and India, two of Asia's largest economies, have been at loggerheads since May 5.
